Massage open late in Agoura Hills
Open every day until 9 PM — Sunday included. Here's what fits the clock when you get off the 101 at 7, 8, or 8:30, and how to make sure there's a table waiting.
A massage open late in Agoura Hills means The Agoura Hills Spa at 5871 Kanan Rd, Agoura Hills, CA 91301: open every day from 10 AM to 9 PM, Sundays included. A 60-minute Signature Massage is $100 and can start as late as 8 PM; the 30-minute body massage ($68) can begin at 8:30. Book online through Fresha or call (818) 540-8060 on your way over.
Here's the thing nobody says out loud about evening massage in the Conejo Valley: most of it doesn't exist. Plenty of places around here post a 6 or 7 PM close. Some stretch to 8. By the time you've cleared the 101 from Calabasas or Woodland Hills on a weekday, their last slot has come and gone. Ours hasn't.
What actually fits the clock
We close at nine, and we mean nine — the last session finishes then, it doesn't start then. So the honest question isn't "are you open," it's "what can I still get." This is how the evening breaks down, assuming a room is free (and that part you confirm with a call or on Fresha, which shows live slots):

One rule we hold to: we won't squeeze a 60 into 40 minutes to beat the clock. If you're running late, we'd rather move you to the 30-minute massage at the 30-minute price than shortchange a full session and charge you for it. Tell us where you are on the freeway and we'll tell you what's real.
The after-work run from the 101
Most of our evening guests aren't from Agoura Hills. They're coming off a workday somewhere along the corridor — Westlake Village (about 10 minutes), Calabasas (about 12), Woodland Hills (closer to 18 when the freeway's behaving). The Kanan Road exit drops you a couple of blocks from our door. Leave the office at 6:30, you're on the table by a quarter past seven, and you're home before the news.
Rush hour is the variable. The 101 between Calabasas and Agoura can turn a 12-minute hop into 25 at 5:45 on a Thursday, and no amount of planning on our end fixes that. So book the slot you can genuinely make, not the one you'd make in a perfect world. If you're going to be ten minutes late, call (818) 540-8060 — we'd rather shuffle than lose you.
Nobody books a 7:30 massage because they're relaxed. They book it because they're not.
Sunday night, specifically
Sunday evening is its own category. The week hasn't started but it's already sitting on your shoulders. A lot of spas close early on Sundays, or don't open at all. We run the full 10 to 9, and the 7 and 8 PM Sunday slots are some of the most regularly rebooked hours we have. Same people, same time, most weeks. It's less a treat than a reset.
Does an evening massage help you sleep? Honest answer: a little, indirectly. NCCIH notes that massage can lower state anxiety, heart rate, and blood pressure in the moment — which is roughly the state you'd like to arrive at bedtime in — and its overview of stress lists massage among the relaxation approaches people use to take the edge off. On sleep itself the evidence is thinner, and we won't dress it up: a late massage isn't a sleep treatment. It's a calmer hour before one. Our longer, more cautious read is at does massage help you sleep.
Same-day, last-minute, and walk-ins
Walk-ins are welcome whenever a room is open. That's the policy and we stick to it. But an 8 PM walk-in on a Saturday is a gamble, and the losing side of the gamble is a drive for nothing. Three ways to not lose:
- Check Fresha first. Our booking page shows the real open slots, including the one starting in twenty minutes.
- Call from the car. (818) 540-8060. Thirty seconds, and you know.
- Ask about the iRelaxbot. The robotic massage bed doesn't need a free therapist, only a free room. When every pair of hands is booked, it's often still available — and at $55 for 30 minutes it's the cheapest way to not drive home tense.
What you're actually getting at 8 PM
The same massage you'd get at 2 in the afternoon. Same therapists, same rooms, light kept low, door closed. Deep tissue or Swedish, essential oil included, pressure set by you at minute one. Evening sessions tend to skew toward the neck-and-shoulders crowd — screen tension, driving tension, the day — and that's exactly the kind of thing massage has the best record for. NCCIH puts it plainly: massage may help with neck and shoulder pain, though the benefit may be short-lived. The American Massage Therapy Association says much the same about stress and tension generally. Short-lived is fine. You're asking an hour to fix an evening, not a life.
Many California cities require massage professionals to be CAMTC-certified (California Massage Therapy Council) — you're welcome to ask about your therapist's credentials when you book, at 8 PM or any other hour. Tell us before we start if you're pregnant, on blood thinners, or nursing an injury, so the pressure and the plan get adjusted.
